Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Kids of all ages are invited to decorate a pumpkin based on a book or book character for our annual pumpkin decorating contest!

Winners will be chosen from grades 0-Kindergarten, 1st-3rd, 4th-6th, 7th-9th, and 10th-12th.  For each group, gift cards will be given to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.  This year will also feature small prizes given to “patron’s choice” pumpkins from all age groups.  Pumpkins should be painted/colored with items glued or taped on. Pumpkins should not be carved or punctured.

October 1st-12th: Pumpkins can be picked up from the Library.

October 15th: Final day to return decorated pumpkins.

October 16th: Pumpkin judging.

October 19th-26th: Winners announced and pumpkins will be on display for patrons to enjoy. Pumpkins can be picked up starting on the 27th.

The number of pumpkins available is limited and is intended for individuals and families, not organized groups.
